For Your Information

Morristown Manor offers a choice of long term or short term care. We take great pride in the professional services available to our residents, from routine daily care to intense rehabilitation programs. Morristown Manor has been family owned and operated since 1993. In 2001 we opened our new facility with 66 beds, expanded to 95 beds in 2002, and added additional dining, activity, and therapy space in 2004.

Morristown Manor offers a choice of spacious private or shared room accommodations, each with a private bath featuring a large shower. There is ample
space for the resident’s favorite belongings, and a prominent “memory box” for the most special items. We have large covered porches, a secure patio, an indoor courtyard, several dining and lounge areas, and a walking path which encircles our building. Morristown Manor sits on a bluff, surrounded by trees, and offers a beautiful pastoral vista from our porches. Our new bus offers “outings” to many activities in our community.

Open Visitation Hours give families and friends the opportunity to visit at any time, subject only to the comfort of our residents. In addition, Morristown Manor schedules frequent events, including evenings and weekends, which are oriented towards increased participation by family and friends, and whose participation is strongly encouraged.

Morristown Manor Resident Council is comprised of volunteer residents who meet to discuss problems of alleged grievances, facility operations, menus, activity programs, and other matters, and participate in their resolution. We make space available, and no one from staff attends unless invited. The Council’s suggestions and comments are taken very seriously and enacted whenever possible.

Safety Features. Morristown Manor provides to everyone a state-of-the-art safety net for protection and safety of our residents, staff, and visitors. This includes features such as automatic fire sprinklers, fire alarms, and smoke detectors throughout the building. Other safety features include handrails, water temperature controls, closed circuit cameras, and an efficient nurse call light system. A resident wandering system is available for residents deemed at risk of wandering from the facility. Morristown Manor has been restraint free for over a decade. We use staff education and awareness, simple personal alarms, and other nonrestrictive devices to ensure resident safety while maintaining freedom and dignity.

Financial Options encompass all the major payment choices. These include Medicare Part A (the federal health program for eligible aging and handicapped which may cover a specific number of days); Medicare Part B and D (which may pay for selected services and medications); Long Term Care Private Insurance (commercial health insurance policies which typically pay a certain amount per day toward the cost of care); Private Pay (wherein personal funds are used to pay for care, medications, and services); and Medicaid (the federal and state program to pay for medical care for persons meeting certain eligibility requirements. This program is administered by the county office of the state department of Family and Social Services). Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more details.

Morristown Manor’s Service Policy is to provide service to all persons without regard to race color, national origin, handicap, or age, in compliance with 45 CFR Parts 80, 84, 91, respectively, of the U.S. Code. The same requirements are applied to all, and there is no distinction in eligibility for, or in the manner of, providing services.
